Getting To Kicking Horse Resort
Calgary International Airport is the nearest airport. The resort (without road closures) is a 3 hour drive west of Calgary. Family and friends will easily be able to reach this top Alberta mountain venue.
Ceremony on Eagle's Eye Terrace
This BC wedding venue offers you the rustic and intimate wedding you've always dreamed of. The itinerary for your magical day takes advantage of the resort's majestic Rocky views and romantic lodge venues. Ceremonies are held at the Eagle's Eye Terrace.
This terrace overlooks the mountains and gives guests an incredible 360-degree view of the Purcell, Selkirk, and Rocky mountain ranges. A view like this will be the perfect backdrop for the best Calgary wedding photographer to capture your wedding photos.
Guests are brought up to the terrace at 7,700 feet by the Golden Eagle Express Gondola. The terrace can hold up to 200 guests and your wedding party will have private use of the terrace for an hour.
Outdoor weddings are dependent on the weather. If the mountaintop weather is not suitable for the wedding, you can delay the service or accommodations will be made to move the ceremony indoors.

Reception at the Eagle's Eye Restaurant
At Kicking Horse Resort, you have the option of holding your reception at either the Eagle's Eye Restaurant or the Whitetooth Grill. Right next to the terrace sits Eagle's Eye Restaurant, a charming mountain lodge with floor-to-ceiling window views of the mountains.
The restaurant can seat 116 guests for a seated reception and 150 guests for a cocktail-style reception. Table setups and dinnerware are provided by the restaurant. Any other decorations must be brought by the guest.

Reception at the White Tooth Grill
If you need a reception area that can hold more guests, The White Tooth Grill is another reception option that would be perfect for your wedding day. Located at the base of the mountain, this timber-framed building with an outdoor patio area is the perfect place to eat and dance with your party after the ceremony.
The Grill can seat 180 guests on its main floor and two balconies for a seated reception. It can accommodate 200 guests for a cocktail-style reception.
Lodging at Kicking Horse Resort
There are several lodging options available to the wedding party and guests.
The Eagle Eye Suites are conveniently located next to the Eagle Eye Restaurant. These luxurious mountain suites offer the same 7,700-feet elevation mountain views that you will enjoy on your wedding day. Overnight stays cost $1000 and include a private butler and breakfast!
There are other lodging accommodations available as well throughout the resort. Whatever your needs, there are plenty of luxurious and cozy options available for you and your guests.
